Breakell Racing’s splendid Mercedes AMG GT4 will return to the BEC grid for 2024 with a new driver pairing of Carl Garnett and Harley Haughton.

Carl hails from Leeds, lives in York and has came through both Mazda MX5 and Ginetta racing. Twice a class vice-champion in the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup, he was an overall podium finisher in the Ginetta GT Championship last season.

Graduating from karting, Harley is also from the North East and has over seventy podium finishes to his name. With multiple title successes he attracted the attention of BBC Radio 5 Live and seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, Sir Lewis Hamilton – he spent the day with Lewis in 2014 after they both won their respective championships on the same day. He was a title challenger in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge in 2022, then last year he raced with Breakell in the Ginetta GT Championship and Nurburgring 24 Hours in a Porsche Cayman – making history as the youngest ever British driver to race in the N24. He also made his debut in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup at Zandvoort in a Lamborghini GT3.

Team manager James Breakell said “We’re delighted to be returning to the British Endurance Championship grid after some great times in the series in recent years. We’ve proven that our Mercedes-AMG GT4 is a competitive force and we’re confident we can be challenging for more BEC silverware with our talented driver line-up of Harley Haughton and Carl Garnett.
