The chase for the inaugural British Endurance Championship title hots-up on finals day at Donington, and after the 30-minute qualifying session just one point separates the two top title contenders. Wayne Marrs and Tom Jackson bagged overall and Class A pole in the Rob Boston Racing Mercedes GT3 (main photo), narrowing the gap to points leaders Chris Goddard, Charlie Hollings and Jamie Stanley, who’s RNR Ferrari 458 was usurped in Class C in the closing minutes of the session by the Porsche of Peter Erceg and Marcus Clutton. There’s 30 points for a class win and one valuable point for fastest lap, and with stiff competition through the classes, this will go down to the wire.
